For an adhesive system that meets the UL 1203 requirements for explosion-proof electric motors, consider Loctite EA E-40EXP. This 2-part, self-leveling black epoxy is typically used for potting, sealing and bonding electronic and electrical components – isolating the electrical motor from hazardous vapors and chemicals that could cause an explosion. It can be potted into horizontal volumes and will instantly flow to fill the voids. It shows minimal exothermic reaction upon curing (room temperature) with very low shrinkage.

- Material will not expand and experiences very little shrinkage, facilitating accurate dispensing
- User-friendly 2:1 static mix cartridges for easy dispensing or in bulk for high volume applications
- This material cures in approximately 2 hours at room temperature and contains no carcinogens
